Welcome to my website!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Calgary, working in the philosophy of science under the supervision of Dr. Marc Ereshefsky.
My research centers on the value-laden aspect of scientific inquiry and explores legitimate and fruitful ways to incorporate values in science. I critique the construal of science as a value-neutral enterprise and demonstrate how the core assumptions of value-neutral science are implicitly endorsed in philosophical issues, including scientific classification, scientific disagreement, and so on. Using case study analyses to reveal multiple causal factors that influence scientific practice, I draw a richer picture of how science, embedded in a society, advances.
